I am really excited to be to announce that I am offering my Yin and Tonic Workshops again and offer this wonderfully deep releasing Mindful Restorative, Yin Yoga and Gong Bath Sound Healing Emersion on Sunday afternoon, 2:30-4:30 24 March 2024 in Orange Bloom Yoga Stucio, Hazel Grove, Stockport.
Please join Kate Kearns, Senior Yoga Teacher and Yin and Restorative Yoga Therapy Yoga Teacher and Sound Healing Practitioner Gong to experience the benefits of this Restorative and Gentle Yin Yoga with Gong Sound Bath Workshop.
This nourishing and healing workshop is much needed by so many of us and I invite you to come and retreat inwards on a journey of self discovery and awareness as we support and sooth ourselves with restorative yoga, release tension with yin yoga poses and let the sound healing vibrations and tones melt the mind.
This restorative and gentle yin yoga gong bath workshop will offer a floor based, slow-paced, meditative style of yoga with postures held for 3 to 5 minutes using props and supports to support us in targeting myofascial groups, stretching and stressing connective tissues. Suitable for all levels including complete beginners.
In this 2 hour workshop the first 1.15 mins will be dedicated to a restorative and gentle yin practice with sound healing using, gongs, tibetan bowls, Shamanic drum and various delightful instruments that may take you on a relaxing and releasing journey to offer you an escape from your never ending to do list.
Choosing mindfulness presence and deep relaxation as we encourage our energy. QI (chI) to flow through every single cell in our body, and entire being to cultivate harmony and balance with ourselves and the elements according to TCM, Earth, Metal, Wood, Fire and Water.
The last 45 mins will be completely dedicated to a Gong and Sound Bath Meditation where you are able to fully relax release and let go.
I will be offering a nourishing and releasing practice with gentle yin postures mixed with some restorative poses together with healing sounds of the gong to rejuvenate, relax, refresh and restore you.
Gently opening into our mindful restorative and yin yoga practice by focusing our attention inward, using our breath as our anchor. A mindful, permissive, nourishing, yielding practice, whilst working on the fascia and deeper connective tissues and joints to release tension held within but also to increase mobility and range of movment as well as welcoming awareness of the subtler sensations that we begin to experience through the yiness/stillness of this practice.
Cultivating harmony and peace, a deeper sense of balance and feelings of calmness and a sense of well-being. Also working to stimulate and unblock energy channels to offer a deep release, open our body and mind and let go of anything that no longer serves us.
